Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and with English heritage. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said that she attends Passover seders.
