Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a part of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) and the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. Between 2005 and 2006, Psaki served as communications director to U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was press secretary to the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. She returned to White House in 2015 to become the communications director. She was with the Obama administration until the end of its term.
